Bearing the theme: “Explore and Communicate: Like and Share”, Surigao State College of Technology celebrated English and Jeep days on February 19-20, 2013. The event was participated by instructors and students. 

The Teacher Certificate Curriculum Program or TCCP caters to professionals who are graduates on non-teacher education courses. “TCCP gives them the opportunity to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) without going through the rigors of a four-year education in Teacher Education courses, “Mrs. Tita Morales, Teacher Education Division (TED) Chair, stated.

 After the implementation of JEEP Start, the College recently implemented the JEEP Accelerate program starting on the first semester of AY 2012-2013. According to Mrs. Iryn E. Cavite, JEEP Program Coordinator, the objectives of the program are the development sector, development of confidence in all situations and the development of business partnership sector.

Five out of eleven Civil Engineering graduates of SSCT who took the licensure examination for Civil Engineers passed the said examination. The following successfully hurdled the exam: Arjie C. Boriniga, Dexster G. Madera, Jayson S. Lancin, Adol N. Potot, and Mervin B. Surigao.

In partnership with Biologic Systems for its 20^th anniversary, Team WaCom visited Surigao State College of Technology and introduced their latest products to the students especially to the IT and Engineering students last July 16, 2012 at the Academic Center. The objectives of the visit were to awaken the minds of the young people to the new and future trends of technology, and encourage the individuals to use technology in the daily lives.
