GAD Office Conducts Gender Sensitivity Seminar

The SSCT Faculty, personal and staff attended a gender sensitivity seminar spearheaded by GAD or the Gender and Development Office on August 9, 2015 at Almont Beach Resort in Lipata, Surigao City. GAD focal person Dr. Leonilyn G. Malicay was the speaker during the seminar where she talked about basic GAD concepts such as: Gender roles, gender stereotypes, manifestations of gender bias, and gender as a social construct.

A team building activity followed in the afternoon where the faculty and staff participated in a zumba, games, and other activities that were meant to improve planning, problem solving, decision making, adaptability, communication and trust among the participants.

Faculty members said they enjoyed the activity specially the games because everybody loosened up and forgot about the stress and pressures of work.
